AWS security engineering in GovCloud and the commercial regions

We design and harden AWS accounts for federal programs, in AWS GovCloud (US) and in the US commercial regions.

Our engineers hold AWS and HashiCorp certifications.

AWS GovCloud (US)

The GovCloud (US) Regions are isolated, and only AWS staff who are U.S. citizens administer them.

Which workloads belong there

AWS built GovCloud (US) for FedRAMP High, DoD IL4 and IL5, CJIS and ITAR workloads, and it can hold every category of CUI. We decide with you what moves there and build the boundary between it and your commercial accounts.

What Security Hub CSPM checks

Security Hub CSPM’s NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 standard runs automated checks for part of the catalog; requirements that need a manual check are outside it. We turn it on and write the evidence for the requirements it cannot check.

FIPS endpoints

In GovCloud and the US commercial regions, AWS offers FIPS endpoints that encrypt traffic in transit with FIPS-validated cryptography. We point your services and SDKs at them.

Reviewing and building your AWS accounts

Well-Architected review

We review each workload against the six pillars of the AWS Well-Architected Framework and hand over a ranked plan, with an owner for every finding.

Security engineering

We build landing zones on AWS Control Tower with IAM guardrails, network segmentation, key management and logging, and map them to NIST SP 800-53 and your agency’s baseline.
